FUNNY HISTORICAL PARALLELS!
November 9th, 2025:
President Donald Trump attended his second extravagant party in a week as tens of thousands of federal employees went without pay, leaving some of them—and many more Americans—to turn to food banks, and for many others, skipping regular meals.
President D.J. “A little party never hurt anyone” Trump spent Saturday night at his Mar-a-lago Golden Ballroom (South), entertaining invited guests at the lavish event, which featured a three-course menu of beef filet, truffle dauphinoise, pan-seared scallops and a trio of desserts including “Trump chocolate cake.” …Trump was seen observed at a table surrounded by MAGA supporters, smiling and posing with his thumbs up next to women in ballgowns. The event also featured ice sculptures and an opera performance.

…On October 1st, 1789, a banquet was held in the Royal Opera House in Paris; wine flowed in abundance and toasts were made to the royal family, who were cheered by those attending. In the tense climate outside the doors, many of the crowd considered such strident displays of monarchic extravagance to be extreme acts of provocation by the King. …Gazettes portrayed the banquet as an orgy—organizing a such flagrant celebration of wealth and power when the people were going hungry was a step too far. People prepared to march on Versailles and confront the King….
…On the 5th of October a large crowd, mainly composed of women, marched on the palace at Versailles. As news of the march spread throughout the town the palace gates were closed and the queen (Marie Antoinette) having been warned, retreated to her apartments. …The marchers from Paris arrived at the gates of Versailles palace at half past midnight. …At 6am, having forced open the gate of the Prince’s courtyard, the crowd crossed the royal courtyard and entered the Queen’s apartments. The Queen quickly descended to the prince’s apartments and then took refuge in the King’s apartments. The crowd demanded a royal appearance…
The King appeared, promised to give the crowd bread and to return to Paris. At 1.25pm the royal cortege left Versailles; the King never returned to Versailles again…
…On August 10, 1792, revolutionaries stormed the Tuileries Palace in Paris, and King Louis XVI was arrested. The royal family was imprisoned, Louis was put on trial for treason, found guilty, and executed by guillotine on January 21, 1793. The Queen was executed several months thereafter…

On November 9th, 2025, President Trump returned to The White House from his weekend of partying and golf at Mar-a-lago, and, once there, he signed a full pardon for Rudi Guliani and several others involved in attempting to overturn the results of the election in November of 2020… Then he went upstairs and nodded off in the newly refurbished Lincoln Bathroom…
